Volunteer Opportunities  

Planning a Sabbatical?  Recently retired?  In between assignments? Wish to devote pro bono time to the development of  the IMI Certification and wider Mission?

IMI is welcoming experienced professionals to assist with the implementation of its wider mission by:

·               establishing high level international mediator competency standards

·               introducing a certification system for highly-experienced mediators

·               promoting mediation, and how to find mediators, to users worldwide

·               offering an inter-cultural mediator certification for experienced mediators

·               providing impartial guidance and information to users

·               making available downloadable material about mediation

·               providing support for the creation and advancement of mediation bodies

·               developing experience generation schemes

·               promoting scholarship programs

·               introducing an international forum for young mediators

·               promoting a convening and referral function

·               encouraging the development of mediation in new fields (eg deal making).

 Experience, or a special interest, in ADR (Appropriate Dispute Resolution) would be very helpful.   

All members of the IMI Board and Independent Standards Commission provide their time pro bono to the furtherance of IMI’s public benefit initiatives.
