Users View for a UN Convention on the Enforcement of Mediated Settlements

Results of the IMI survey to assess the level of corporate user need for a UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Mediated Settlement Agreements are now published at:

At the 47th Session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), in New York in July 2014, a proposal for a multilateral Convention on the enforcement of international commercial settlement agreements reached through mediation was discussed. Such a Convention could put international mediated settlements on the same footing as arbitral awards from an enforcement standpoint. UNCITRAL requested that its Working Group II (Arbitration & Conciliation) consider this issue further at its forthcoming session in New York in February 2015.

We would like to thank all who participated in the survey.
