GPC Austin Report

The North American suite of reports present findings from data that has never been analyzed before and gives insight into the commercial dispute resolution (DR) landscape in North America.

The GPC Austin Report explores the characteristics of users of DR in Austin, how the market responds to their needs, obstacles and challenges facing their jurisdiction and provides a vision for the future of commercial DR in Austin.

Some results may be expected. Others may be quite surprising.

The following is a sample of some of the themes emerging from The GPC Austin Report. To learn more about Austin, download the report from the IMI website.

‘The popularity of mediation is having a significant impact on commercial DR in Austin. There is a growing number of qualified and proficient practitioners available and parties are turning to them to facilitate processes where they can feel heard and identify non-legal perspectives on their dispute. Despite the availability of innovative and flexible approaches, detailed knowledge about the full range of DR options is not widespread. Education and collaboration both within and across legal and business communities, are key to consolidating any shift away from traditional adversarial processes.’
