IMI is wholly reliant on grants and contributions from stakeholders. IMI is not a mediation service provider, and has no income-bearing activities.  Read more about our funding and becoming a patron here.

IMI’s Patrons fall into five categories:

  • Diamond Patrons – More than €100,000
  • Platinum Patrons – Between €50,000 and Diamond
  • Gold Patrons – Between €10,000 and Platinum
  • Silver Patrons – Between €1,000 and Gold
  • Red Patrons – Provide discounted services to IMI as a not-for-profit.
 

The American Arbitration Association, with its international arm the International Center for Dispute Resolution, is one of several Founding Institutions of IMI. AAA/ICDR classifies its Patron status with IMI as part of its public benefit initiatives to help promote and increase the use of mediation across all fields and all countries. Established in the 1920s, the AAA is one of America’s oldest non-profit institutions.

The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) sets a new standard for the provision of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services. The Chamber provides international and local commercial and governmental users contracting in the Gulf and beyond with a purpose-built solution for the rapid, effective and certain resolution of commercial disputes. As an independent institution, the BCDR is guided by an international Board of Trustees with a senior management team of experts that administer the arbitration and mediation of commercial cases - with particular emphasis on disputes in the construction, financial services, insurance and energy sectors - applying 'best practice' in ADR processes and case management. Annette M van Riemsdijk is an IMI Certified Mediator.  She has a distinguished record in ADR practice as a solicitor since 1988 and as a mediator since 1993. Annette is an arbitrator, trainer and director of The New Resolution Group.  Annette is an IMI Honorary Director.

Federico Antich A Graduate of the University of Firenze, School of Law, pursued post-graduate legal studies in the U.S.A. (at UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Harvard Law School) and the U.K. (King's College) and holds an LLM in US and Global Business Law from Suffolk University. He is an Attorney at Law in Italy, admitted to practice before the Supreme Court. A Professional Mediator since 1999, registered with several domestic and foreign Mediation Bodies, so far he has administered over 5.000 proceedings. A professional Trainer in Mediation, he has lectured on this subject in several Universities and is the author of many scholarly papers, in English and Italian, on Civil, Commercial, Environmental Law and Dispute resolution issues. He is President of Italy's National Chapter of the Mediation Center of Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and a Member of: IBLC, CILS, IBA, CEDR, CIArb.

 

 

Irena Vanenkova is former Executive Director of IMI and was with IMI from 2007 to 2018. She is a CEDR-Accredited mediator (1998) as well as holder of the MATA advanced mediation certificate. Irena holds the English Tutor Diploma of The Linguistic University in Moscow (1983), a Bachelor of Economics at the Moscow Institute of Business Studies (1997), and a Diploma in Public Relations Management at the Moscow State University (2001).

 

 

Tina Monberg is a lawyer and qualified psychotherapist. She has a Masters in Law from Copenhagen University and trained in Mediation at Harvard Law School. She has previously run her own law firm and worked as a corporate lawyer, but now functions as a mediator, coach and teacher, working at Mediationcenter a/s, Denmark.

 

 

Ute A Joas Quinn Qualified as a U.S. attorney and trained as a mediator, Ute has a wide range of experience in conflict management, including (among other things) ADR and community grievance mechanisms. In her current role, she leads global UI focal points advising on conflict prevention as related to sustainable development (including human rights) and social performance aspects, as well as manages legal advice to non-technical UI functions such as HSE, external affairs, compliance and human resources. Ute is based in the US.
