Parties and counsel who have used Ana Sambold would overwhelmingly use her services again and would, without hesitation, recommend her to others. Typical of the comments reflecting Ms. Sambold's acceptability are: (i) I would strongly recommend Ms. Sambold as a mediator to others. During our mediator selection process Ms. Sambold was the only one Plaintiff’s counsel would agree to use; (ii) There are currently ongoing discussions of other pending cases where Ms. Sambold will be sought for mediation assistance; and (iii) My practice is largely on the east coast, however, if I have another mediation in the area I would use Ms. Sambold.
Ms. Sambold’s mediation skills and abilities are rated as highly effective. Typical of feedback received in this regard are: (i) No issue or angle was left untouched. By combination of legal reasoning, trial experience, and common sense, Ms. Sambold got everyone to resolve their “Line in the sand.”; (ii) Ms. Sambold was very effective in getting each side to make a realistic valuation of their case. She was able to get the matter resolved even though the parties were initially very far apart in expectations; (iii) Ms. Sambold is a skilled mediator, in terms of effectiveness and resourcefulness. Also, the fact that she is bilingual was essential in our case and a tremendous asset; and (iv) Ms. Sambold was very patient yet at the same time persistent which turned this case into one that settled.
Ms. Sambold is also highly regarded for her ability to effect a positive outcome. For example, one provider of feedback noted that Ms. Sambold would not give up on potential settlement. Even when everyone dug in and refused to move she worked with the parties to make progress, even if incremental. She kept the parties going until we finally settled. No issue or angle was left untouched and she worked with the parties to the point where the case could resolve. This was our first experience with Ms. Sambold and she is now on our list of “go to” mediators.
Costs were widely reported as reasonable in the context of the value of the disputes mediated by Ms. Sambold, and in general a very high degree of satisfaction was reported.
No reportable negative comments have been received since Ms. Sambold’s designation as an IMI Certified Mediator.
