Mediation Profile

I am interested in how humans communicate, especially during conflict, and how restoring community and family relationships affect the substantive issues presenting themselves as conflict. The concept of peace in interpersonal relationships as well as larger community and global interactions is my main interest and creative contemplation.

I am currently employed at Panko Collaborative Law and Mediation in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I work as a private mediator and as a paralegal to the operating lawyer. I am trained as a real estate paralegal and a general mediator; however, I find myself working primarily in family matters in both contexts. Prior to this position, I was a file clerk at this same firm. Before that, I worked in a care home for women with intellectual disabilities supporting their unique abilities and talents.

I have mediated four family mediations which reached Interspousal Agreements, two family mediations which are on hold, a tenet and community board mediation which reached resolution, and have been involved in our office's development of a family mediation course to be offered this fall.

I have taken the Introductory Mediation training through Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada, Introduction to Mediation training through the Dispute Resolution office of Saskatchewan, and High Conflict Personalities workshop through Conflict Resolution of Saskatchewan and ADRIC which was a Bill Eddy workshop.

I am a member of Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada and am currently on the Under-40 project with ADRIC's Saskatchewan division looking for initiatives and opportunities to increase public interest in mediation and encourage mediator's who are under 40 years of age to pursue mediation as a career. I am also a member of the Mediation Practice group in Saskatoon and the Mediation Luncheon Book Club.
