Feedback digest by Carsten Albrecht, 11 Jul 2018 This Feedback Digest has been updated to include five Feedbacks since August 2007. Peter Müller, born on April 14, 1969, is a patent and trademark attorney with a special emphasis on electrical engineering. He was trained at the universities of Munich, Germany, and Lund, Sweden. In Addition to his admission as a patent attorney he also studied mediation at the University of Hagen and graduated as a Certified Mediator from these studies in 2003. Peter Müller is a partner of the Munich firm Müller Schupfner & Partner. He has more than 10 years of experience as a patent and trademark attorney and is an active member of several IP organisations. In addition to other panels Peter Müller is a member of the INTA Panel of Neutrals and was Chair of INTA´s Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Peter Müller speaks German and English fluently and also handles mediations in these languages. He is a public speaker at various events and an author of articles on IP. Peter Müller is an experienced and well-reputed mediator who also performed as mediator in a successful video on mediation. One of the sources was particularly impressed by Peter Müller´s performance in this video and advised that he has a look at the mediation video with Peter Müller before he performs his own mediation as a mediator. He had successful mediations in the field of IP, e.g. in the area of microelectronics in August 2007. His performance in the mediations is consistently rated rather high by the parties. Several Feedbacks on mediation performed by him were very pleased with Peter Müller´s introduction into the process and the way he set the scene and explained the process. One party was specifically pleased by the way Peter Müller clarifed open questions. His way of managing the negotiations and how he processed to first negotiate and discuss the matter with the parties was regarded as a specific strength. Another party stated in the Feedback that he was very competent in acknowledging emotion in the process. Several reviewers liked the way how he summarized the current status of the proceedings. His ability to pay equal attention to the parties and to balance their interest and to give appropriate information was hailed as a key strength. Peter Müller was not only fair and impartial, but appeared according to the parties to the mediation as relaxed and very approachable and confident. Having seen these Feedbacks, I am convinced that the parties would recommend Peter Müller as a mediator in future cases. No negative comments have arisen in the past.
