Like most people living in developing countries, growing up in Brazil exposed me to a violent reality. However, I never shook the feeling that it was not normal. Therefore, I sought knowledge in different areas such as international and governmental relations, public policy, conflict resolution and psychology to qualify myself as a holistic leader to understand what were the demands at the global, national, community and personal levels and how I could build peace alternatives.
Throughout my trajectory I looked those answers in other people, then different cultures, and global events. All valid but external sources only to realize that the point of departure for understanding everything is ourselves. Thus I am taking a Systemic Intervention Therapy training, to understand what motivates our true needs and demands.
My ambition now is getting the IMI Certificate. By participating in the YMI I expect to be better equipped to contribute to a more collaborative society, deepen my understanding of dispute resolution and learn effective methods to help others solve pressing issues and conflicts through non-violent communication.
