Khory McCormick, is a high profile market recognised expert. He formally head Minter Ellison's International Dispute (National) and Commercial Advisory and Dispute Resolution (Brisbane) groups. He is now a freelance consultant and independent neutral. Khory provides strategic and innovative advice to the highest level decision makers including Boards, CEO's, directors and political figures and a wide variety of entities in both the private and public sector. He regularly acts in complex litigation or arbitration and as mediator or party representative across a diverse range of dispute subject matters, resource commodities and long term contracts, infrastructure projects and diverse contractual settings, as set out below. 

Khory's conflict resolution expertise is recognised through his roles within key dispute resolution and arbitration bodies. He is an accredited mediator and is recognised by independent legal publications such as the International Chambers Global Directory (disputes/litigation), the Financial Review Peer Review as one of Australia's leading Government lawyers, Best Lawyers International for over 10 consecutive years in the area of Australian Government/Local Authorities and listed as one of approximately 180 Global Who's Who of International Commercial Mediation. With his 'go-to reputation', Khory occupies a unique space in both the private and public sector issues management and conflict resolution space.

After training in mediation with the Harvard teaching faculty, CDR and LEADR, Khory has 30 plus years experience as a professional mediator and parties advocate and multiple matter experience in both domestic and cross border contexts. He has had exposure to a broad range of subject matter from major resources project disputes to misconduct with established religious orders. Khory has represented Australia in UNCITRAL Working Group II: Dispute Resolution which has generated the Singapore Convention on Enforcement of International Settlements Resulting from mediation and the complementary model law.  

Khory's mediations have included subject matters such as contract claims, property disputes, trust and fiduciary issues, mining/resource and environment issues and public policy and cross border issues. One involved an appointment by a sovereign state to mediate a multi stakeholder public and private interest dispute in a developing country.
