Feedback digest by Paul Walters, 20 Aug 2018 This Feedback Digest is based on 17 random mediation client feedback forms, submitted in the period November 2014 – June 2016. Client feedback is based on six distinct parameters covering the mediator’s professional performance: - Impartiality - Independency - Competence / expertise - Effort / energy - Consideration / care - Balance The client feedback on Leo’s work as a mediator rates consistently high. The rating on the six mediator qualities in each of the 17 evaluated mediation cases averages higher than well satisfied without exception, and mainly averages as very well satisfied. The cumulative average of all ratings from the total of the evaluated cases demonstrates that Leo’s customers are very well satisfied with his professional performance as a mediator. The majority of the ratings use a scale from 1 to 10. Ratings from court annexed mediations use a different scale. The latter have been projected on the 1-10 scale in order to make all ratings comparable and countable the same way. Each of the six parameters over the total of 17 feedback forms score an average of 8 and higher. As far as these high scores differ at all, the feedback figures demonstrate that Leo’s impartiality as a mediator and the effort and energy in his mediator performance are highly valued by parties, repeatedly scoring 10. In addition, feedback providers made special notice of Leo’s ability to clearly map relevant issues and to define distinct actions for moving further towards clarity on those issues. Further it is expressly mentioned that Leo’s solution focused approach is particularly appreciated. Reviewer: Paul Walters. Paul was the first director of the Netherlands Mediation Institute NMI.
