In the global world, we all live in, invention in both new technologies and techniques causes drastic changes in international (global) economic relationships, as well as in strategies and actual behavior of operators from all over the world. Therefore, it is necessary to find an order (if not an equilibrium) by balancing the market (economic freedom) together with the public sphere (civic and political freedom). This is a new reality to which we, as humans, have responded with the recent creation of new forms of associations. There should be a road between individualism and international/global cooperation. Sustainability demands it! The road to hit is to take efforts to develop interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and produce science-based inputs to inform policymaking.
Article 21(3), Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government..."; therefore, the idea of global polity as well as world government for world citizens is already in the policy agenda. Economic as well as financial relationships overtake national borders; the actual data is that the economy is now global. The law, together with its many forms of regulations and rules, is the structural framework which sets the rules to govern the life of people in their everyday affairs, the interactions among business players in the market, and the responsibility of states to ensure human and fundamentals rights to everybody. In a globalized world, people interact, business players are interdependent, and ‘states’ mutually reinforce their actions and policies.
My interest in alternative dispute resolutions finds its roots in my
interest to scientific research, in the sense that it has no meaning to advance knowledge without
improving the real world. As regard as the profession of practitioner in alternative dispute resolution, I find this very challenging because this allows me to solve real world problem and face the
realty with its problems and difficulties.Â
We have to realize that some conflicts cannot be solved.

Leadership position is a different concept from leadership.
How this can help me with a leadership position in conflicts resolution? We have conflicts when one person want to dominate another one. Therefore, the ability to understand, manage, and solve conflicts is for people who are able to be leader in the sense I just explained.
