Feedback digest by Andrew Gibson, 3 Oct 2018 This Feedback Digest is based on 10 feedback in 10 mediations, initially submitted on Tuesday 25th February 2014. Margaret’s clients show their appreciation for her focused approach to their difficulties, one client made the following comment in their written feedback form “I hope we don’t have to go back to Margaret again with regards to conflict, but if I had any other conflicts in my life I would not hesitate to go back to her. Really good at what she does”. Margaret consistently scores 5 out of 5 for her mediation skills and ability level. When commenting on Margaret’s skills further another client said, “Her experience, her way of communicating with people who won’t even talk to each other, her ability to go through what is being said and get us to look at it differently and from the other’s point of view is key”. Words used to describe Margaret’s mediation style include: skilled, recommended, caring, worthwhile, focused and patient. One client mentioned that “this was the first experience with mediation in the workplace”, they went on to say “We are delighted with the result and will be using Margaret again should the need arise”. In almost all cases Margaret was the first mediator that clients had employed, each client felt satisfied that the mediation had helped even if the dispute was not fully resolved through the mediation process. Much of her work involves facilitating parents and adolescents through the mediation process; the success of this type of mediation facilitated by Margaret is shown in the feedback received. One instance of this is commented on as follows “Margaret has a great way with adolescents. They trust her and she brings all the perspectives to the table for both us as parents and our son to look at objectively”. In all cases clients say they would use Margaret’s services again and would recommend her to others. In almost all cases a settlement was reached. In a couple of instances where a settlement was not reached, the client still felt that the mediation process was beneficial and helped them personally get to grips with the situation moving forward. There are no reportable negative comments from clients in the feedback provided.
