Coming from a country where the litigants are hell-bent on taking matters to the courts resulting in such a massive number of pending litigations, I personally believe in the art and science of Mediation. There will come a time sooner or later where litigants will realise that the resources and efforts they invest for court disputes are more than often not that well rewarding and time-consuming, which is when there will be a vacuum for a pool of mediators, I want to be equipped to be able to secure a decent rank in that pool when the time arises. I have undergone practical training in ADR-CDR courses throughout my 5 years at law school. I was privileged enough to be mentored by the greats of this profession including Mr. Marcus Lim, Mr. Andrew Goodman, Mr. Gracious Timothy, Mr. Shashank Garg, Mr. Ajay Thomas and Mr. Jeff Kichaven to name a few. I have successfully completed the Mediation training as offered by The Peace Keeping and Resolution Team (The PACT) at the Global Academy for Advocacy in Dispute Resolution and subsequently achieved accreditation for mediation from the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates, SCMA, London. I am also a young member with many ADR-CDR Institutes and I further attended the annual Permanent Court of Arbitration Conference 2018 in New Delhi to get a flavour of resolving International commercial disputes via the mechanism of ADR-CDR. I truly believe that I have what it takes to shoulder the responsibility of a Young Mediation Advocate.Â
Currently, I am engaged as a Research Analyst at the Upper House of the Indian Parliament. I have further been admitted to the Hague Academy of International Law for a summer course on Private International Law. My background in mediation is not that extensive as such, having just graduated from law school.Â
I have successfully completed the 40-Hour long Mediation training as offered by The Peace Keeping and Resolution Team (The PACT) at the Global Academy for Advocacy in Dispute Resolution and subsequently achieved accreditation for mediation from the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates, SCMA, London.
Successfully Mediated 2 disputes at the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, India. The Hon'ble Justice I was clerking with was a part of the Mediation Committee of that particular High Court and his Lordship was kind enough to refer 2 such disputes for mediation.Â
