Ruth Glick combines a multi-faceted business and legal background to provide unique and pragmatic skills to facilitate settlements between parties. She is a full time neutral mediator and arbitrator in the San Francisco Bay area where she specializes in commercial, business contract and tort, securities, commodities,currency, financial, venture and hedge fund investment, labor and employment, technology, real estate and healthcare disputes. She is the former chair of the 18,000 member Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association. Ms. Glick was adjunct professor of Arbitration and ADR Law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law for ten years and a judicial extern for the Honorable William A. Newsom, First District, California State Court of Appeal. She has authored several book chapters on arbitration, articles for law reviews and professional publications and has made numerous presentations on ADR topics to professional associations. Ms. Glick's prior financial background augments her legal experience. As a currency and financial instruments trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's International Monetary Market and as executive vice president of a foreign exchange arbitrage firm, Ms. Glick mediated very large monetary disputes among traders and institutional market participants. As the host of a daily television program showcasing top business and government leaders. Ms. Glick gained the reputation of a fair and impartial moderator who carefully evaluated the issues and built a consensus among disparate participants. A member of the California Bar, she is on the ICDR, Large/Complex Case,Employment, National Arbitration and Mediation panels of the American Arbitration Association, the CPR Distinguished Panel of Neutrals, as well as numerous court, industry, labor and government panels. She earned a B.A. degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, a law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco and was trained as a mediator at Harvard Law School. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and is named by her peers as a Northern California Super Lawyer.
