I gained my BA degree from Dokuz Eylül University Law Faculty in 2005. After that, I continued my education in Anadolu University's Banking and Insurance Department. Shortly after the mediation law in Turkey, I completed the full programme and became among the first registered mediators in 2013.

In order to develop my mediator skills and become an international acrredited mediator, I attended Mediation and Relationship Management Certificate Program at Global Mediators Negotiators (GMN) which was very focused on ethics, role-plays & practice.  In 2016, I completed Training for Trainers Programme and got supervision by GMN.  

I was not only very interested in becoming a mediator but also I wanted to develop my deeper understanding of social role as a mediator and discover how to develop mediation culture effectively  in Turkey, I started a special programme called Grassroot Diplomacy. It was a joint project of Girne American University, Cyprus American University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The theoretical and practical part; including study visits of this training has been completed in Nicosia, Istanbul, New York and Washington.

I am one of the founder and partner of Okyay | Evren Law & ARD Office. I have been practicing as an attorney at law since 2003 and have been serving in institutional companies in business and trade law.

I was one of the Founding Members & BoD of Izmir Mediators Association and International Mediation Association of Turkey where I am currently the President. I am also Co-founder of the MBBI (Mediator Beyond Border International) Turkey Chapter and Member of American Turkish Business Development Council.

I believe in alternative dispute resolution methods and their benefits in general and completed conciliation training in criminal law and I have been working as a conciliator at criminal disputes since 2017.

I also attended International Contracts and Arbitration  Certification Programme organized in cooperation with the Universidad Carlos III De Madrid, STN Global Executive Management Ltd. UK and Izmir Bar Association. Furthermore

I completed Introduction to International Arbitration Programme organized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce, Mediation and Arbitration Center and CIArb.

I am one of the Founding Partners of Mediterranean Dispute Resolution Center since 2016 and actively acting as Attorney, Mediator, Conciliator, Trainer, Patent and Trademark Consultant.
